Meet your Canine Fitness Trainer

Kelsey Smith
RVT, CCRP, CCFT
I have been in the Veterinary field for 9 years. I graduated from Cal Poly Pomona with a B.S. in Animal Health Science in 2012. From there, I took a leap and moved across the country to North West Florida to pursue a career working with wildlife. While in Florida, I obtained my CVT (Certified Veterinary Technician) license. After working with wildlife for about a year, I decided my true passion was to work with dogs and cats. After 3 years of working at a small animal clinic, I decided to take the leap back to California. I ended up in San Diego with my husband and two fur kids. While working at a small animal clinic in Pacific Beach, I obtained my RVT (Registered Veterinary Technician) license and started the pursuit of my CCRP (Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner) license. Wanting to get more experience and exposure to canine rehabilitation, I decided to make a move to a rehab facility that solely catered to rehab patients. Working in a rehab facility for three years made it clear that this was my true passion. Being able to help dogs recover after surgical procedures and helping them to feel better in their older age, is very rewarding. After three years of practicing canine rehabilitation, I realized that I wanted to venture out and start my own business. My goal is help dogs maintain and build strength through various exercises and life stages. I recently graduated from the University of Tennessee and now hold my CCFT (Certified Canine Fitness Trainer) license.

I enjoy hanging out with my cat Curry and my clients dogs. In my free time, I enjoy taking photography of nature areas, going on new hikes, and learning to play the guitar.
